What is Missions and why is it so important?

After Jesus’ resurrection, in the Luke-Acts account, just before he was taken up into heaven, his last words to his disciples were these in Acts 1:8.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

With these words Jesus commissioned his followers to bear witness to his life, death, and resurrection. They were to share the story of Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth and we are to follow this example. Paramount Baptist church strives to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth so that those who are lost may be saved through Him.
