January/February Newsletter

Pastor’s Corner:

“…Why do the actions of activist courts matter to you? Why is the marriage battle so important? This crucial battle goes to the very heart of God’s plan for the family and the outcome will determine what tomorrow looks like in America…” – Dr. Larry Rickard, Pastor

Pastor Chuck’s Comments:

“A New Year is quickly approaching. It is hard to believe that 2013 has come and gone. A lot of things have happened-both good and bad. Our nation is facing new challenges. Every family will encounter trials and tribulations in the coming year. They will also rejoice in mountaintop experiences. Each individual is facing a new year of uncertainty. Yet we all know that God is in control and that He hears and answers the prayers of His children.” – Pastor Chuck Schroer
“Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” – Hebrews 13:8

This month our spotlight is on Paul and Janet Mason.

Janet was born at home, in Hagerstown. She graduated in 1956 from the old Hagerstown High School. Janet has spent her years as a homemaker and raising their three children. She is active in supporting the ministries of Paramount Baptist.

Paul was also born at home, on Hopewell Road, in Hagerstown. He graduated from the old Hagerstown High School in 1956. He then completed training and graduated as a radiologic technician and worked for 10 years at Washington County Hospital as an x-ray technician. From there, he moved on and worked for 35 years at Sears as a service technician. Paul has served as a trustee, bus (van) driver, counter of the offering, and helps to maintain the church property at Paramount Baptist.

The Masons have been married for 56 years. They have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Their son passed away this past year. We are grateful to have the Masons as part of our church family.
